I want to see the day…
Dear Country,
I want to see the day…
when every teacher gets down from their cars and enter the school with utmost respect, getting all the facilities they deserve, with all the care and service they need being the most important people of schools; not just like the other employees of the institutions who carry out supporting tasks
I want to see the day…
when education ministers and officers, school founders, administrators, managers, facilitators –others who are just the supporting people wait for the teachers’ free time and seek appointment to get the suggestions in delivering the best possible education
I want to see the day…
when the governments and school administrations create a no-disturbance environment for teachers for their preparations, research and planning needed solely for conducting the best classes; not involving them in any mundane clerical, administrative, financial or marketing tasks.
I want to see the day…
when the parents understand that the teacher is shaping their children’s life and when they also understand that the teacher’s personal life has a shape too.
I want to see the day…
when the schools understand that the teacher has a body that gets tired and needs to relax, has a mind that gets stressed out and needs recreation, has a heart that needs appreciation, has a personality that needs recognition and appreciation, has a personal life beyond school that needs no judgements, no opinions, no comments, no criticism and no restrictions.
I want to see the day…
when the lawmakers and school administrators understand that schools run because of teachers and they are revenue generators and deserve the highest remuneration and rewards, awards and accolades.
How well we treat teachers today decides how well the future will treat us.
