I was working in a computer institution teaching & learning C language. There was a typical receptionist - lean, always with heavy make-up, thick lip colour with excellent English that covered all her stupidity, (over)acting younger than she was. There was an office boy - muslim - acting innocent - taking great advantage of not knowing English and learning it from the receptionist.

She was teaching him English. He was pretending to learn. One day, our receptionist had brought an umbrella from home seeing the cloudy weather in the morning. But when it was time for her to go home, it started raining and the umbrella was missing. She came to me and complained 'Sir, that stupid fellow (office boy) has taken away my umbrella'. I found it funny to receive a complaint as though they were children and I was the headmaster of a school.

I just said with a smile 'You have taught him English. You know how they read. You must have taught him 'U for Umbrella' and he has read it as 'Umbrella for U'

Take it easy!!
